A perspective shaped by experience
About
Over time, the nature of professional challenge changes.
For many accomplished women, it is no longer defined by capability or performance, but by the quality of the choices they make, particularly at moments when direction is no longer given.
This becomes most visible at points of transition: stepping into leadership, moving across organisations or paths, or rethinking what the next phase should look like. But it is also present within more senior roles where expectations are high and the space to define direction is greater.
The questions shift: What to step into. What to step away from. What to build, sustain, or change. Where to set boundaries. And, increasingly, how these choices connect to independence and flexibility in shaping the life you want to build.
These are not questions of competence.
They are questions of clarity, ownership, and direction.
Why equity?
The idea of equity sits at the centre of my work.
At its core, it is about supporting women to step into equity in their careers and lives - in how they lead, the choices they make, and the direction they shape over time, including how these choices build optionality and independence.
It brings together three closely connected dimensions:
Professional Equity - leading with authority and confidence, and making considered career choices and transitions
Personal Equity - recognising your value and taking ownership of your choices and direction
Financial equity - building independence and flexibility to support the life you want to create
Bringing these dimensions into closer alignment leads to more coherent choices and greater ownership of the path you are shaping.
How I work
My work is grounded in close, individual partnership.
I draw from advisory, coaching, and mentoring - not as defined formats, but as approaches that adapt to the person, the context, and the moment. The focus is client-led, shaped by the questions, choices, and direction that matter most in the moment.
The work is thoughtful, candid, and confidential. It combines reflection with perspective, and deep listening with sharing of experience.
Engagements typically take place over a period of three to nine months, with one to two conversations per month. This usually translates into six to fifteen sessions of 60–90 minutes, allowing for depth, continuity, and meaningful progress. In some cases, the relationship continues over time as an ongoing advisory or mentoring partnership.
Sessions are primarily held online, with the option to meet in person where it adds value. I am based in The Hague, Netherlands, and work with clients internationally.
About
Christina Bauer-Plank
I am the founder of CBP Equity.
My work builds on a 28-year international career at Unilever, where I held senior executive roles across markets and organisations. I built and led high-performing teams, drove transformational business growth and was responsible for the strategy and development of global brands.
I also bring experience as an investor, managing my own portfolio and engaging directly with questions of value, ownership, and long-term planning, including a lived experience of building financial independence.
I am an ICF-certified coach with an advanced diploma in systemic coaching, which underpins the way I work. I also hold an INSEAD certification in corporate governance and work with board members and non-executive directors.
My perspective is shaped by both professional and lived experience, navigating ambition, expectations, and authority, and combining leadership with family life as a mother of two, alongside long-term choices.
CBP Equity brings these dimensions together: a strategic and business lens, real-world leadership and investment experience, and a personal understanding of the choices that shape direction over time.
I work with a small number of clients, allowing for focus, trust, and continuity.
